Retro Saga

We have improved Retro Saga sales at a rate of %800 more profit within 8 months. Our work progress for Retro Saga started with the first and most important step in the SEO process; to make the website crawlable and these optimizations can be called “Technical SEO" strategy. In the technical SEO process, the main points to be optimized in order to maximize the performance of Google bot and user:

  • Site Map
  • 3xx & 4xx Links
  • Crawl Depth
  • URL Structure
  • Site Speed Load

SITEMAP

The sitemap is intended for search engine bots to identify pages on the website more easily. Two parameters to be considered in the sitemap; “Changefreg" and “priority" segments.

3xx & 4xx LINKS

In order to provide a unique experience to the browser bots and the user, the “crawl flow" should not be interrupted by various redirects. The 3xx and 4xx links that arise directly due to the change or deletion of the page on the website cause us to use our crawl budget effectively.

An ideal link flow should reach all pages on the website without interruption.

CRAWL DEPTH

“Crawl Depth" refers to the depth at which the user and search engine bots reach the pages on our site. With Footer – Sidebar – BreadCrumb optimizations, it is possible to help the accessibility of our pages and to use the scanning budget effectively.

URL STRUCTURE

It is important for URLs to have a “target" oriented simple structure, in terms of determining the site focus and crawlability.

SITE SPEED LOAD

Crawl Budget and minimizing the user's page loading times by downloading the pages of the bots is an important parameter for “user experience" as well as technical SEO studies.

OnPage SEO Studies

In the SEO process, it is necessary to evaluate all the arrangements made within the site within the scope of OnPage SEO. The points that come to the agenda within the scope of OnPage SEO works can be listed as:

  • Title Tag Hierarchy
  • Meta Title – Description Optimization
  • Content Optimization in Category and Product Pages
  • Image Optimization
  • Footer Optimization

Title Tag Hierarchy

Title tags, which have an important share in SEO correlation; The hierarchy of h1-h2-h3… should be arranged in a way that will not be broken and the headings should be given in accordance with the semantic keyword logic.

Meta Title(s) Optimization

Meta Title – Description fields are variables included in SEO correlation and have a significant effect on CTR (Click Through Rate). A meta title that activates the user is at least as effective as brand awareness in CTR.

Content Optimization

Especially, customizations made on “product pages" and redirections on “category" pages in e-commerce websites significantly affect our performance at Google.

Image Optimization

In visual optimization studies; The size of the image used and the “alt text" tag are important.

Considering the increasing trend of visual searches in Google and its point of view based on visuality in its sector; The importance of optimization work to be done in this area is much more clearly seen.

Footer Optimization

Including the general “services" of our company in the “footer" area and adding the “dynamic sidebar" structure to the service, pages facilitate the development of the “internal link flow" and the user's transition to different pages (user experience).

OFF-PAGE SEO STUDIES

After the technical errors are resolved and the related developments within the site are completed, the last step in the SEO process is the “OffPage SEO" section.

Basically, OffPage SEO works for the purposes of brand awareness and increasing the DR – UR segments;

  • Competitor Analysis (Keyword Focused)
  • Backlink (White Paper)
  • Cover Blog System

Competitor Analysis

While examining the SEO strategies of our competitors with keyword-based competitor analysis, we can determine the points where the backlink work is done and we shape our OffPage SEO works.

Measurement and Development

Our custom monitoring tool, Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs (Premium Tool) and SERP Follow System (Premium Tool) tools are used to measure the SERP reflections of the work.

Establishing parameters such as Click – Scroll Event through Google Tag Manager and defining them as “Goal" to Google Analytics is an important stage of the measurement process.

With Google Tag Manager data, the conversion rates can be determined on a page basis and the foundations of the improvements in the direction of the user to sales can be laid.

Reporting and Follow-up Process

SEO studies are a holistic process and the most important concept in studies; is the time.

The actions taken within the scope of technical SEO and OnPage SEO studies are kept under control in the whole process flow of SEO work and an early reaction can be shown against possible technical errors.

At the reporting point; We should underline that the actions taken and the SERP reflections of these actions are communicated to the customer through monthly reports and the “brainstorming” technique is used at the point of process development through regular meetings.

SEO is a process that forms part of a digital marketing strategy that focuses on optimising a website to make it more visible in search engine results pages (i.e. in Google search results) with the goal of driving organic traffic to the website. Organic traffic is driven to a website from clicks on these search results.

Organic traffic is natural in the sense that it is earned rather than paid for, but to be successful, you still need to invest a lot of time and resource in SEO. Search engines have got better at identifying the intent of search queries which makes choosing the right keywords to drive traffic even more important. Because organic traffic is not paid for, once a SEO strategy takes effect and visibility increases, a website will see growth in this channel. More visibility = more traffic = more potential customers = more potential revenue. But it's not just about getting ANY traffic to a website. If it's not good quality traffic, there is no value in it. So don't ever pay anyone who claims that they can deliver thousands of visitors to your website overnight!

Algorithms will determine what has caused a spike in traffic before assessing whether this is a signal that your site has something users are finding to be valuable. Did an authoritative site share a piece of content you created which resulted in a bump in referral traffic? Or was it a load of bots or spammers that have been paid to Google your business over and over and over again and click the result to artificially inflate the traffic to your site? Exactly how much traffic affects rankings will never really be proven, but there are a few case studies out there that suggest there is perhaps some correlation.

SEO takes time because there is no longer an easy way to game the system. Search engine algorithms have become more and more advanced with an emphasis on delivering users the most relevant, and highest quality results based on their search query. Whereas when SEO began all it took was stuffing a webpage with your chosen keyword and pointing as many links as possible to it to see fast results, things have changed – drastically. And deploying tactics like this in current era are likely to be doing far more harm than good in the long term.

People often ask 'how do I rank higher on Google?' or 'what affects SEO rankings?' But only Google algorithms know exactly what factors determine how well a page ranks (how visible it is and what determines its position) in search results – in fact, there are reportedly over 200 ranking factors!
